This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin modulation with crisp joins and bracketed wedge-like serifs. Capitals are proportioned with a classical, slightly calligraphic skeleton—round letters are smooth and open, while straight-sided forms keep a firm vertical stance. Lowercase features compact, sturdy shapes with clear counters; the two-storey a and g, the angled terminals on forms like c and e, and the pointed i/j dots contribute to a sharp, engraved feel. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic with strong vertical stress and elegant curves, supporting clear hierarchy in running text.

It is well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where a classic serif voice and strong typographic color are desired. The high contrast and dignified capitals also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and institutional or literary branding in print and high-resolution digital settings.

The overall tone is traditional and bookish, with an authoritative, cultivated presence. Its contrast and crisp serifs add a touch of refinement suited to formal communication, while the steady rhythm keeps it grounded and readable rather than ornamental.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif that balances classical proportions with crisp detailing. It aims to deliver a familiar, authoritative reading experience while providing enough sharpness and contrast to create elegant emphasis in display sizes.

Stroke endings tend toward tapered, slightly flared terminals, and spacing appears even with a measured, text-oriented rhythm. The italic is not shown, but the roman displays consistent contrast and serif handling across uppercase, lowercase, and figures.
