This serif has pronounced vertical stress and clear thick–thin modulation, with sturdy, bracketed serifs that read cleanly at display and text sizes. Capitals are broad and stately with generous internal counters and confident spacing, while the lowercase keeps a steady rhythm with rounded joins and softly tapered terminals. The design shows a mix of sharp triangular details (notably on V/W/Y) and occasional ball-like terminals in the lowercase, creating a lively but controlled texture. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with open shapes and firm horizontals that keep the set visually consistent.

It works particularly well for editorial headlines, magazine typography, and book or long-form layouts where a traditional serif voice is desired. The contrast and strong capitals also suit branding and packaging that need a formal, established tone, as well as pull quotes and section openers where crisp serif detail can be featured.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority and familiarity. It feels well-suited to established institutions and print traditions, with enough crispness and contrast to add a slightly dramatic, headline-ready presence.

The design intention appears to be a conventional, readable serif with elevated contrast and confident proportions, balancing a traditional bookish foundation with enough sharpness and terminal character to perform in prominent typographic roles.

Stroke endings tend to taper into pointed or subtly flared forms rather than blunt cuts, and the serifs remain relatively refined rather than heavy. The letterforms maintain a stable baseline and consistent cap presence, giving paragraphs a composed, formal color.
