A slanted serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a distinctly calligraphic, drawn-stroke rhythm. Serifs are bracketed and often wedge-like, with pointed terminals and occasional bulbous/teardrop finishing on curved strokes. Counters are generous and slightly irregular in a lively way, while curves (notably in C, G, O, Q and the lowercases) show a fluid, ink-like sweep. Capitals feel sturdy and sculpted; lowercase forms are more animated, with a single-storey a, a compact e, a looped g, and long, angled entry/exit strokes that reinforce the forward motion.

Well-suited to editorial typography—magazine features, book interiors, pull quotes, and refined headlines—where its high contrast and lively slant can add character. It can also work in branding and packaging for traditional or premium positioning, especially when set at medium-to-large sizes to preserve the crisp details of the serifs and terminals.

The overall tone is traditional and assertive, with a dramatic, literary flavor that recalls book typography and classic print. The energetic italic angle and sharp terminals add a sense of momentum and sophistication, making the voice feel formal rather than casual.

The design appears intended to provide a conventional serif foundation with a more expressive, calligraphy-informed italic voice. Its combination of classic proportions and sharpened, energetic finishing suggests a focus on elegant readability with added personality for editorial and display contexts.

Spacing appears comfortable and readable in running text, with strong word shapes created by the varied stroke endings and the lively italic construction. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic and show distinctive, slightly calligraphic silhouettes (notably the 2, 7, and 9), helping them stand out in display-sized use without losing cohesion with the letters.
