A sturdy slab-serif with heavy, bracketed serifs and compact, forceful letterforms. Strokes are largely even with just enough modulation to keep counters from feeling mechanical, and the terminals end in blunt, squared-off slabs. The texture is dense and rhythmic, with relatively tight apertures and rounded interior corners that give an inked, press-friendly feel. Lowercase shows a conventional, workmanlike construction with a two-storey a and g and a short, solid-looking i/j treatment; figures are broad and emphatic with strong vertical stress.

Best suited to headlines, decks, pull quotes, and other editorial applications where a bold, authoritative voice is needed. It also works well for posters, signage, and packaging that benefit from sturdy slabs and strong presence, and can hold up in short text passages when a darker typographic color is acceptable.

The overall tone is confident and no-nonsense, leaning classic and editorial rather than playful. Its heavy slabs and compact proportions suggest dependability and tradition, with a slightly industrial, old-school practicality.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic slab-serif voice with strong impact: solid serifs, compact forms, and a dense rhythm that reads as traditional, practical, and attention-holding across print-style layouts and display typography.

At text sizes the face builds a dark color and strong horizontal emphasis from its slabs, while in display settings the chunky details and bracket transitions become a defining personality cue. The wide, sturdy numerals and the firm caps make it especially commanding in mixed-case headlines and titling.
