A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and crisp, bracketed serifs. Vertical stems are dominant and steady, while hairlines and interior joins taper sharply, creating a clear, punchy rhythm. Serifs often resolve into pointed or triangular forms with subtle bracketing, and several lowercase letters show teardrop-like terminals that add a slightly calligraphic finish. Counters are relatively compact and the overall texture is dark, with confident, high-contrast shapes that hold together well at display and headline sizes.

Well suited to editorial typography where strong hierarchy is needed—magazine headlines, pull quotes, and section openers—as well as book covers and poster-style titling. Its high-contrast detailing favors larger sizes and high-quality reproduction, where the sharp hairlines and tapered terminals can remain clear.

The tone is authoritative and editorial, combining classic bookish cues with a dramatic, high-impact presence. It reads as formal and established, evoking print tradition—newspapers, magazines, and literary titles—while still feeling crisp and contemporary in its sharp detailing.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif voice with heightened contrast and a darker, attention-grabbing color for display-led composition. Its consistent, crisp serif treatment and compact counters suggest a focus on impactful, print-like typography that retains a refined, classical structure.

The uppercase set presents strong, monumental silhouettes with clean diagonals and pointed joins, while the lowercase maintains a traditional structure with noticeable contrast in bowls and shoulders. Numerals appear equally weighty and suited to headline settings, matching the same crisp serif treatment and dense color.
