A sturdy serif with pronounced, smoothly bracketed serifs and subtly flared stroke endings that give stems a sculpted, carved feel. Letterforms show moderate thick–thin modulation and confident vertical stress, with generous proportions and open counters that keep the texture readable at larger text sizes. Curves are full and round (notably in C, G, O, and Q), while terminals and joins feel slightly tapered rather than blunt. Numerals are strong and compact, with traditional forms and clear differentiation across widths.

Well suited to editorial design where a classic serif voice is desired, including magazine features, book typography, and report layouts. The strong capitals and confident serifs also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and identity work that needs a traditional, authoritative tone.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, projecting authority and tradition without looking delicate. Its flared details add a hint of inscriptional gravitas, making it feel established and institutional. In paragraphs it reads as composed and formal, with a steady, bookish rhythm.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif readability with a more sculptural, flared finishing on stems and serifs. This creates a familiar text-face foundation while adding a distinctive, slightly inscriptional character for display and editorial emphasis.

Uppercase shapes feel stately and slightly condensed in presence, while lowercase forms remain robust with a clear, conventional skeleton. The ampersand and punctuation in the sample text sit comfortably with the letterforms, reinforcing a consistent, traditional typographic voice.
