A weighty, high-contrast serif with broad proportions and a pronounced vertical stress. Serifs are sharply wedge-like and often bracketed into the stems, with pointed, flaring terminals that give the outlines a carved, calligraphic bite. Curves are generous and round, while joins and apertures show crisp, angular cutting—most noticeable where strokes meet in letters like S, a, and e. The overall texture is dense and dark, with strong thick–thin rhythm and a slightly sculpted, engraved finish that stays consistent from capitals through numerals.

Best suited for headlines, decks, pull quotes, and other prominent editorial typography where the bold contrast and wedge serifs can be appreciated. It also fits book and magazine covers, luxury or heritage-leaning branding, and event or cultural posters that benefit from a classic-but-dramatic serif voice.

The tone is confident and theatrical, leaning toward traditional publishing and prestige branding. Its sharp terminals and dramatic contrast read as refined and intentional rather than utilitarian, giving text a formal, editorial voice with a hint of vintage display energy.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional serif foundation with heightened contrast and sculpted terminals, aiming for strong presence in display settings while retaining the familiar structure of text serifs. Its wide stance and sharp serif detailing prioritize impact and sophistication over neutrality.

Spacing appears roomy enough to keep large, bold word shapes from clogging, but the fine hairlines and sharp serifs suggest it will look best when printed or rendered at comfortable sizes. Distinctive features include pointed diagonal entry/exit strokes on letters like W and X, a compact, assertive lowercase with strong verticals, and numerals that match the same high-contrast, wedge-serif grammar.
