A compact oldstyle serif with bracketed serifs, moderate stroke modulation, and gently tapered terminals. The letterforms show a traditional, slightly calligraphic construction: curved strokes swell subtly, joins are smooth, and counters stay fairly open despite the narrow set. Capitals feel stately and restrained, while the lowercase has a readable rhythm with round bowls, short-to-moderate ascenders, and a two-storey “g” that adds a distinctly text-oriented texture. Numerals follow the same classic serif logic with clear contrast and small finishing strokes that keep them consistent with the letters.

Well-suited to book interiors, essays, reports, and other long-form editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired. Its compact set also works for space-conscious layouts such as footnotes, sidebars, captions, and multi-column pages, while remaining appropriate for formal headings and pull quotes when set a bit larger.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, evoking printed books, editorial pages, and institutional materials. It reads as composed and trustworthy rather than trendy, with enough warmth in the modulation to avoid feeling sterile.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif that delivers a familiar, print-rooted reading experience. Its compact proportions, moderate contrast, and bracketed serifs suggest an emphasis on dependable readability and a classic typographic tone across extended passages.

In running text, the narrow proportions and crisp serifs create a dense, efficient color that suits compact setting. The design maintains a conventional, steady rhythm across mixed-case text, with familiar forms and controlled detailing that prioritize continuity over display theatrics.
