A refined serif with sharp, tapered terminals and pronounced thick–thin modulation, giving stems a crisp, chiseled presence. Serifs are bracketed and relatively fine, with a slightly calligraphic sweep in joins and diagonals. Proportions feel traditionally bookish: uppercase forms are stately and balanced, while lowercase shows compact bodies with tall ascenders and a delicate, tightly drawn texture. Numerals and capitals carry clear vertical stress and an elegant, controlled rhythm that holds up in both isolated glyph view and continuous text.

Well suited to book typography, magazine layouts, and other editorial applications where a traditional serif voice is desired. It also performs nicely for refined headlines, pull quotes, and formal printed materials such as programs or invitations, especially at sizes that allow its fine contrast and terminal detailing to show.

The overall tone is classic and cultured, with an editorial seriousness that reads as traditional and polished. Its crisp contrast and fine detailing lend a sense of formality, suitable for literary or institutional contexts rather than casual or utilitarian settings.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, literary serif voice with heightened refinement: strong contrast, crisp serifs, and carefully shaped curves that maintain a composed, classical rhythm in running text and display settings.

Details like the angled crossbar on the e, the tapered arm endings, and the refined punctuation contribute to a precise, print-oriented feel. In larger text settings, the sharp terminals and narrow internal apertures can create a bright, slightly sparkling texture, emphasizing elegance over robustness.
