This typeface is a high-contrast serif with a distinctly sculpted, flared stroke treatment: main stems taper and widen toward terminals, producing wedge-like serifs and pointed finishes rather than flat slabs. Curves are taut and controlled, with crisp joins and sharp apexes in letters like A, V, W, and Y. The rhythm is compact and vertically oriented, with tight sidebearings and a firm baseline presence. Lowercase forms show a two-storey a and g, a compact e with a small eye, and generally narrow bowls; counters are relatively small, emphasizing the contrast and verticality. Numerals follow the same engraved feel, with strong thick–thin shifts and chiseled terminals.

It suits display-forward typography such as headlines, decks, magazine features, book covers, and brand wordmarks where high contrast and distinctive terminals can be appreciated. It can also work for short editorial passages, particularly when generous size and leading are used to preserve clarity.

The overall tone is formal and editorial, combining classical serif cues with a slightly stylized, chiseled finish. The sharp terminals and pronounced contrast add drama and luxury, while the restrained construction keeps it authoritative rather than playful.

The design appears intended to deliver a refined, premium serif voice with a carved, flared-terminal signature—balancing classical proportions with a more sculptural, attention-getting finish for contemporary editorial and branding use.

At larger sizes the flared terminals and fine hairlines become a key identifying feature, giving text a carved, print-like sparkle. In dense settings, the narrow proportions and small counters make the texture appear dark and concentrated, especially in all-caps and bold word shapes.
