A high-contrast serif italic with pronounced thick–thin modulation and a steady rightward slant. The serifs are finely bracketed and often taper into sharp, calligraphic terminals, giving strokes a crisp, chiseled finish. Capitals are moderately wide with elegant entry and exit strokes, while the lowercase shows flowing, looped forms and a lively rhythm typical of text italics. Numerals follow the same contrast and slant, with curved figures and clear, tapered endings that keep them visually consistent with the letters.

Works well for editorial typography where a classic italic voice is needed—book and magazine text, introductions, captions, pull quotes, and in-text emphasis. It can also serve as a refined display italic for titles or short phrases when set with generous spacing and comfortable sizes.

The tone is traditional and cultivated, with a sense of editorial polish and historical gravitas. Its energetic italic motion adds a subtle theatrical flair—suited to emphasis and expressive passages without becoming ornamental. Overall it conveys refinement, authority, and a distinctly bookish character.

Designed to provide a conventional, readable serif italic with a distinctly classical, calligraphy-informed texture. The intention appears to balance elegance and clarity, delivering strong emphasis in running text while maintaining a cohesive, traditional typographic color.

Letterforms show strong diagonal stress and narrow joins that accentuate contrast, creating sparkle in text. The italic construction is clearly calligraphic rather than geometric, with rounded counters and pointed joins that keep lines of text feeling fluid and continuous.
