This italic serif has a calligraphic, oldstyle skeleton with gently bracketed serifs and softly modulated strokes. The slant is consistent and the forms stay open, with rounded bowls and tapered terminals that give a continuous, handwritten rhythm without becoming script-like. Capitals are slightly wider and more stately, while the lowercase shows lively movement in letters like a, e, g, and y, with modest ascenders/descenders and smooth joins into serifs. Numerals follow the same italic construction, mixing straight stems with curved entry and exit strokes for an integrated text color.

Well-suited for book and long-form editorial italics, including emphasis, quotations, captions, and pull quotes where a traditional serif italic is expected. It can also work for refined headings when an expressive but conventional italic tone is desired, especially in cultural, academic, or literary layouts.

The overall tone is traditional and literary, suggesting printed books, essays, and cultured editorial settings. Its italic voice feels expressive and warm rather than sharp or formal, adding a gentle sense of motion and personality to longer passages.

The design appears intended to provide a classic, readable serif italic with a calligraphic undercurrent—more expressive than a purely mechanical italic, while maintaining conventional proportions and a steady text rhythm.

Spacing appears comfortable for continuous reading, and the stroke endings emphasize rounded, ink-like tapering rather than crisp, geometric cuts. The italic angle and terminal treatment create a slightly variable rhythm across glyphs, contributing to a natural, humanist texture.
