A slanted serif with clearly calligraphic construction and brisk, rhythmic movement. Strokes show moderate contrast with an oblique stress, and terminals often finish in sharp, wedge-like serifs with subtle bracketing. The capitals are compact and slightly narrow, with crisp entry/exit strokes and lively curves (notably in C, G, and S). Lowercase forms are smooth and slightly looped, with a single-storey a and g, a narrow, pointed w, and brisk, tapered joins that keep counters open. Numerals follow the same italic flow, with curved, gently hooked forms and consistent stroke modulation.

Works well for editorial settings such as books, magazines, and essays where an elegant italic is needed for emphasis or sustained reading. It also suits pull quotes, formal invitations, and sophisticated brand wordmarks that benefit from a classic, calligraphic slant.

The overall tone reads traditional and literary, with a polished, old-world elegance. Its italic energy feels expressive without becoming decorative, giving text a poised, editorial voice suited to refined messaging.

Designed to deliver a conventional serif reading experience with the expressiveness of a strong italic, combining crisp wedge serifs and moderated contrast to evoke traditional print typography while remaining broadly usable in text and display roles.

Spacing and proportions create an uneven, humanist rhythm—letters feel individually shaped rather than mechanically uniform, which adds texture in longer lines. The italic angle is assertive, and the sharp serifs and tapered strokes can visually darken at smaller sizes compared with a calmer text face.
