A high‑contrast serif with finely tapered hairlines and sturdier vertical stems, giving a clear modulated, pen-informed rhythm. Serifs are thin and bracketed with slightly flared, wedge-like terminals, and curves show gentle stress rather than a rigid geometric construction. Uppercase forms are stately and moderately wide with clean joins and smooth bowls; the Q features a distinctive tail that curls into the counter. The lowercase keeps a relatively small x-height with long, elegant ascenders/descenders and compact, readable counters; the e has a light crossbar and the g appears single-storey. Numerals share the same crisp contrast and delicate terminals, reading as traditional lining figures.

This face fits long-form editorial and book typography where a traditional serif voice is desired, especially for novels, essays, and cultural writing. It also works well for magazine features, section openers, pull quotes, and refined invitations or programs when set at moderate-to-large sizes.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, evoking bookish authority and traditional craftsmanship. Its sharp contrast and refined detailing feel formal and slightly theatrical, well suited to language with ceremony or emphasis rather than casual utility.

The design intent appears to be a conventional, readable serif with a more elegant, high-contrast finish—balancing classical proportions with crisp detailing for editorial and literary contexts.

At larger sizes the fine hairlines and pointed terminals become a defining feature, while at smaller sizes the tight x-height and delicate serifs may ask for comfortable leading and careful reproduction. The italic is not shown, and the samples indicate a steady, text-oriented color with occasional expressive flourishes in characters like Q, J, and the numerals.
