This italic serif shows a pronounced diagonal stress and clear thick–thin modulation, with tapered strokes that end in small, bracketed serifs and crisp, slightly sharp terminals. Curves are smooth and compact, while counters stay fairly open for a high-contrast design, giving the text a clean rhythm. Capitals are elegant and slightly narrow with a gentle forward lean; lowercase forms are energetic, with tall ascenders, a single-storey “a,” and a flowing, hooked “f” that reinforces the calligraphic flavor. Numerals follow the same slanted, high-contrast logic with rounded bowls and delicate joins.

It suits book and long-form editorial typography where a classic italic voice is needed, especially for emphasis, quotes, and introductions. The high-contrast detailing also makes it a strong option for refined headings, pull quotes, and formal materials such as invitations or programs when set at comfortable sizes.

The overall tone is traditional and cultivated, with an editorial polish that reads as confident and literary. Its forward-leaning movement and sharp detailing add a sense of momentum and sophistication rather than softness or neutrality.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, high-contrast italic serif with a distinct calligraphic edge—combining traditional text proportions with lively, tapered detailing for elegant reading and polished emphasis.

Stroke endings often taper to fine points, and several letters show subtle wedge-like entry strokes that mimic a pen-nib gesture. The italic construction feels consistent across caps, lowercase, and figures, producing a cohesive texture in paragraph settings.
