A heavy, high-contrast serif with strong vertical stress and sharply thinned hairlines that create bright, carved counters. Serifs are wedge-like and often tapered, with noticeable bracketing and occasional pointed, beak-like terminals. Curves are tightly tensioned and slightly pinched in places, producing small notch/ink-trap-like junctions in letters such as S and g, and giving bowls a sculpted, cut-paper feel. Proportions are fairly classical with compact apertures, a sturdy cap presence, and lining figures that match the dominant, poster-ready weight.

Well suited to headlines, magazine covers, theatrical or luxury posters, and brand marks that need a classic serif voice with extra bite. It can also work for packaging and short pull quotes where the dramatic contrast and sculpted shapes can be appreciated without crowding.

The tone is bold and theatrical, mixing refined editorial sophistication with a slightly eccentric, showcard edge. Its sharp contrasts and chiseled joins feel authoritative and high-end, while the pinched details add a distinctive, attention-grabbing personality.

The design appears intended as a modern, display-oriented serif that borrows from Didone-style contrast while adding distinctive pinched junctions and tapered terminals for memorability. The goal seems to be strong impact and elegance in large settings rather than neutral text economy.

The face reads best when allowed to breathe: tight internal spaces and hairline connections can fill in at small sizes, but at display sizes the contrast and crisp terminals become a defining feature. The italic shown (e.g., in f) introduces a more calligraphic sweep while maintaining the same dramatic thick–thin rhythm.
