A sturdy slab-serif design with broad proportions and strongly bracketed, rectangular serifs. Strokes are weighty and mostly even, with subtle modulation that adds a traditional, print-like feel. Counters are relatively open for the weight, and curves are generously rounded, giving the forms a solid, readable silhouette. The lowercase shows a compact, workmanlike structure with single-storey a and g, a wide, rounded o, and a short-armed r; numerals are heavy and stable, with a clearly shaped 8 and a firm baseline presence.

Well suited to headlines and subheads where a strong, classic presence is needed, as well as editorial layouts that benefit from a traditional slab-serif texture. It can also work effectively in posters, signage, and packaging where sturdy letterforms and a confident tone help text hold up at distance or against busy backgrounds.

The overall tone feels traditional and confident—evoking textbook, newspaper, and collegiate cues without looking delicate. Its dark color and squared terminals communicate seriousness and reliability, while the rounded joins keep it approachable rather than mechanical.

The design appears intended to deliver a dependable, old-style slab-serif look with strong serifs and high ink presence—balancing traditional cues with simplified, sturdy shapes for clear, assertive typography.

Spacing and rhythm read as steady and blocky, with prominent horizontals and slabs that visually knit words together. In text, the face maintains a strong typographic “voice,” favoring emphasis and impact over quiet neutrality.
