A stylized serif with pronounced contrast between thick verticals and hairline joins, shaped as if by a broad pen. Strokes frequently finish in tapered, flared terminals rather than crisp slabs, and many joins show soft, calligraphic swelling. The caps are narrow and stately with wedge-like serifs, while the lowercase leans on humanist proportions and lively curves; several letters (notably a, g, k, r, s) show distinctive ink-trap-like notches and sweeping entry strokes. Numerals follow the same rhythm, with curving spines and sharp, pointed terminals that keep the texture animated in text.

Best suited to short-to-medium settings where its calligraphic modulation can be appreciated: titles, pull quotes, packaging and branding wordmarks, and editorial headlines. It can work for larger-size text passages when a decorative, literary tone is desired, but its fine hairlines and stylized forms are most effective above body-text sizes.

The overall tone feels formal yet expressive—more like carefully written display lettering than a neutral book face. It suggests an old-world, literary sensibility with a touch of theatrical flourish, balancing refinement with handmade character.

The design appears intended to capture formal, pen-influenced lettering in a serif structure—pairing traditional proportions with expressive terminals and distinctive internal cuts to deliver a premium, display-forward voice.

In continuous text the contrast and narrow set create a dark, rhythmic color punctuated by sharp hairlines. Curved forms (C, G, O/Q, S) show strong modulation and slightly ornamental shaping, giving headlines a distinctive voice without becoming fully script-like.
