A bold, high-contrast serif with sculpted, flared stroke endings and wedge-like serifs that read as carved rather than flat. Strokes show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with swelling curves and tapered joins that give counters a slightly pinched, animated feel. The capitals are sturdy and wide-set with crisp terminals, while the lowercase introduces more movement through angled stress, lively diagonals, and occasional tail-like details (notably in forms like g, j, and y). Numerals follow the same rhythmic contrast, balancing strong verticals with sharply tapered finishes for an overall stately, display-forward texture.

Best suited to headlines, titles, and short blocks of prominent text where its contrast and flared detailing can be appreciated. It works well for magazine mastheads, book covers, cultural posters, and branding moments that need a classic-but-expressive voice. In longer passages it will read most comfortably at larger sizes or with generous leading to keep the high-contrast rhythm from feeling crowded.

The font conveys an assertive, editorial tone—classic and authoritative, but with enough flare and curvature to feel theatrical and charismatic. Its sharp tapers and swelling strokes add a sense of motion and ceremony, making text feel emphatic and attention-commanding rather than quiet or utilitarian.

The design appears intended to modernize traditional serif authority by adding flared, calligraphic shaping and dramatic modulation. It aims for a confident display presence with a crafted, engraved-like finish that stands out in editorial and promotional typography.

Spacing appears comfortable at display sizes, with a robust black footprint that creates strong word shapes in mixed-case settings. The combination of crisp wedge terminals and pronounced modulation can create a lively, slightly sparkling texture in dense lines, especially where curved letters cluster.
