A condensed serif design with sturdy slab-like feet and subtle bracketing where stems meet serifs. Strokes show a noticeable but controlled thick–thin modulation, with slightly flared joins and occasional angled, wedge-like shaping that adds texture. Capitals are tall and narrow with compact bowls and sharp, tapered interior corners; lowercase maintains a conventional, readable structure with a moderate x-height and tight spacing. Numerals follow the same narrow proportions, with crisp terminals and a lightly calligraphic influence in curves and diagonals.

Works well for headlines, pull quotes, and titling where narrow width helps fit longer phrases. It also suits book covers, editorial branding, and packaging that benefits from a classic serif voice with a bit of bite. For long-form text, it will be most comfortable at moderate sizes with sufficient tracking and leading.

The tone feels editorial and old-world without being strictly formal—more like a weathered book serif or a revival-inspired display face. Its condensed build and emphatic serifs give it authority, while the slightly irregular, chiseled details add a hint of eccentricity and charm.

The design appears intended to deliver a compact, attention-holding serif with strong slabs and a slightly hand-shaped finish. It balances traditional proportions with distinctive terminal and join treatment to create a recognizable, characterful texture in display settings.

The rhythm is vertical and compact, producing strong word shapes in headlines and short passages. Diagonals and curved letters show small idiosyncrasies at terminals and joins that can read as an inked or engraved gesture, especially at larger sizes.
