A slanted serif with a poised, bookish rhythm and clearly calligraphic construction. Strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation with diagonally biased stress, and the serifs are small, bracketed, and sharply finished, giving the outlines a crisp, cut-paper clarity. Proportions lean slightly narrow with lively width variation from glyph to glyph; capitals feel stately and rounded (notably in C, G, O, Q), while lowercase forms are compact and flowing with a single-storey g and soft, open counters. Numerals are oldstyle-leaning in feel, with elegant curves and a gentle forward motion that matches the italic texture in text.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and editorial layouts where an elegant italic voice is needed for emphasis, quotations, and pull quotes. It also fits refined printed materials such as invitations and programs, and can serve as a sophisticated secondary typeface paired with a sturdier roman for body copy.

The overall tone is cultured and traditional, suggesting editorial polish rather than display bravura. Its italic slant and tapered details add a sense of movement and sophistication, making it feel expressive yet disciplined.

The design appears intended as a classical text serif italic that delivers a fluent, literary texture with crisp finishing details. It prioritizes readability and typographic refinement while retaining enough calligraphic character to feel lively in running text.

In continuous text the face creates a smooth, gently sparkling line due to the sharp serifs and tapered joins. The italic angle is consistent and the spacing appears balanced for reading, with enough openness in bowls and apertures to keep the texture from becoming overly dark.
