A high-contrast serif with bracketed wedge-like serifs and sharp, calligraphic joins, softened by irregular, roughened edges that suggest worn metal type or uneven inking. Strokes show noticeable thick–thin modulation and slightly varied terminals, creating a subtly mottled color on the page rather than a perfectly clean outline. Proportions feel traditionally Roman with a moderate x-height, open counters, and clear vertical stress, while the overall rhythm reads as slightly unsettled due to the distressed contouring.

Well-suited to display and short-to-medium text where a classic serif voice is desired with added grit—such as editorial headlines, book and album covers, posters, labels, and heritage-themed packaging.
