This typeface shows a high-contrast serif construction with tapered, flared stroke endings and smoothly bracketed joins. The serifs are crisp and wedge-like rather than blocky, and many terminals finish in pointed, slightly calligraphic tips. Capitals are stately and open, with sharp apexes (notably in A, V, W, Y) and generous interior counters (C, O, Q). The lowercase has a traditional, bookish rhythm with a two-storey a, a compact ear on g, and a pointed, slightly angled t, while the numerals appear oldstyle in proportion with noticeable ascenders/descenders and strong contrast.

It is well suited to book typography and long-form editorial settings where a classic serif voice is desired, and it also performs strongly in magazine headlines and refined branding. The pronounced contrast and tapered details make it especially effective for titles, pull quotes, and other prominent typographic moments.

The overall tone is classical and editorial, with a refined, slightly dramatic contrast that reads as traditional and trustworthy. Its tapered endings and sharp internal shaping give it a cultivated, literary voice—formal without feeling rigid.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif readability with a more sculpted, flared finish, offering a familiar book face structure while adding sharper, more expressive terminals for a slightly more decorative presence.

Curves are drawn with a clean, controlled modulation, and the stroke transitions create a lively sparkle in text. The Q features a distinctive tail, and letters like S and e show sharply defined apertures that add crispness at display sizes.
