A high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and gently bracketed serifs. Stems are sturdy and vertical, while many joins and terminals show small spur-like projections and flicked, teardrop endings that give the outlines a lightly ornamental finish. Curves are full and smooth, with ample counters, and the overall stance is slightly wide with generous sidebearings. The lowercase shows a moderate x-height and a traditional, bookish rhythm; numerals read as oldstyle figures with varied heights and distinctive, curling terminals.

Well suited to book and editorial typography where a classic serif voice is desired, and especially effective for chapter titles, pull quotes, and headlines. The spurred terminals and high contrast also lend themselves to premium packaging, certificates, and invitation-style materials where a refined, traditional character helps set the tone.

The tone is traditional and cultivated, with a hint of theatrical flourish from the spurred details and tapered endings. It feels authoritative and literary—suited to environments that want classic seriousness without looking plain or purely utilitarian.

The font appears designed to evoke a traditional, text-centric serif model while adding distinctive spurs and tapered terminals for personality and memorability. Its proportions and rhythm aim for comfortable, familiar reading, with decorative touches intended to elevate display moments.

The design’s personality comes through most in letters like J, S, and the diagonals, where small hooked spurs and tapered tips add movement. At larger sizes the ornamental terminals become a defining feature, while at smaller sizes the contrast and fine joins suggest careful use to preserve clarity.
