A high-contrast serif with sharp, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation that reads as calligraphically informed rather than purely geometric. Capitals are stately and slightly narrow in feel, with crisp terminals and confident vertical stress; curves (C, G, O, Q) show elegant thinning into hairlines. Lowercase features a short x-height with generous ascenders and descenders, giving text a traditional, airy vertical rhythm. Numerals follow the same contrasty, oldstyle-leaning logic with lively curves and delicate joins, keeping a consistent, print-oriented texture across letters and figures.

Well suited to book and long-form editorial settings where a classic serif texture is desired, especially with slightly larger sizes and ample line spacing. It also performs strongly in headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding where high contrast and traditional proportions help establish a premium, authoritative feel.

The tone is traditional and polished, evoking classic book typography and editorial authority. Its sharp hairlines and sculpted serifs convey sophistication and formality, with an overall literary, heritage-leaning voice.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, bookish serif voice with pronounced contrast and elegant detailing, balancing readable text structure with a more dramatic, refined silhouette for display moments.

In the sample text, the strong contrast and compact lowercase body create a distinct light–dark rhythm that looks best with comfortable leading. Hairline details and tight interior apertures in some letters suggest it benefits from moderate sizes and good reproduction conditions to maintain clarity.
