This is a high-contrast serif italic with crisp, bracketed serifs and tapered, pen-like joins. Stems and curves show pronounced thick–thin modulation, with narrow hairlines and slightly sheared stress that reinforces the italic flow. Capitals are stately and moderately wide with clean, formal proportions, while the lowercase is more compact and lively, featuring a single-storey italic a and g, a long, gently curving f, and a graceful, descending y. Numerals appear as oldstyle figures with varied heights and descenders, contributing to an organic, text-oriented rhythm.

It suits continuous reading in book and magazine typography, especially for emphasis, quotations, or secondary text where a classic italic is expected. The strong contrast and dignified capitals also make it effective for pull quotes, formal announcements, and refined print collateral where an elegant, traditional voice is desired.

The overall tone is traditional and cultured, with a bookish elegance that reads as established and trustworthy. Its calligraphic movement adds warmth and sophistication, making it feel more literary than technical, and more classic than contemporary.

The design appears intended as a classic text-family italic: a refined companion for editorial settings that prioritizes familiar proportions, calligraphic flow, and conventional serif detailing. The use of oldstyle numerals further supports a literature- and publishing-oriented typographic palette.

The italic construction is consistent across the set, with clear entry/exit strokes and carefully shaped terminals that keep word shapes fluid. Contrast is strong enough to feel polished and upscale, but the forms remain conventional and restrained rather than ornamental.
