A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and weighty main strokes, producing a crisp black-and-white rhythm. Serifs are finely cut and mostly bracketed, with wedge-like entries and occasional ball terminals that add a slightly calligraphic finish. The capitals feel stately and evenly proportioned, while the lowercase shows traditional book-face structure with compact joins and distinctly shaped bowls. Numerals follow the same sculpted contrast, with narrow joins and delicate terminals that keep figures elegant rather than mechanical.

Well suited to book and magazine typography where high-contrast serifs are expected, and it also performs strongly for headlines, pull quotes, and section openers that benefit from a refined, high-impact texture. The formal, classic tone makes it a good fit for branding in luxury, cultural, or editorial contexts, as well as printed invitations and stationery.

The tone is traditional and editorial, suggesting printed literature, newspapers, and formal publishing. Its dramatic contrast and refined detailing convey authority and polish, with a subtly classic, old-world sophistication.

The design appears intended as a conventional, publication-oriented serif that balances traditional proportions with pronounced contrast for a more striking, contemporary print presence. The mix of bracketed serifs and small terminal flourishes suggests an aim for elegance and authority rather than neutrality.

Stroke modulation is pronounced, so fine details become a key part of its character; at larger sizes the sharp terminals and hairlines read especially crisp. Spacing appears set for text rhythm, but the heavy stems and delicate horizontals create a distinctly punchy texture in paragraphs.
