This serif typeface shows crisp, bracketed serifs and pronounced thick–thin modulation with a mostly vertical stress. Capitals are sturdy and fairly wide, with generous inner counters and clean, sharp terminals; the Q features a distinctive diagonal tail. Lowercase forms are compact and traditional, with a two-storey a and g, a looped descending g, and a relatively narrow, pointed w. Numerals follow old-style proportions with strong contrast and clear, compact shapes, maintaining an even typographic color in text despite the high-contrast detailing.

Well-suited for long-form reading such as books, reports, and academic publishing, where a conventional serif texture is expected. It also performs confidently in editorial layouts—magazine features, newspaper-style typography, and refined headings—where its contrast and sturdy capitals can add hierarchy and polish.

The overall tone is classic and authoritative, leaning toward an editorial and literary voice. Its high-contrast strokes and crisp serifs add a sense of refinement and tradition, suitable for content that wants to feel established and credible rather than casual or playful.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-contrast text serif with a confident editorial character. It balances traditional book-type proportions with sharper, more modern crispness in the serifs and terminals to produce a clear, formal voice across paragraphs and headings.

Stroke joins and serifs remain consistent across the set, with a controlled rhythm that reads well in continuous text. The bold presence of vertical stems and the clarity of apertures help maintain legibility, while the sharper details suggest it will look most comfortable at text and display sizes where contrast can breathe.
