A robust serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharply tapered hairlines, giving the letterforms a carved, sculptural feel. Serifs are compact and bracketed, with crisp entry/exit strokes and occasional ball-like terminals that add punctuation to the rhythm. Counters are relatively tight in the lowercase and the joins are firm, producing dense color in text while keeping clear internal shapes. Uppercase proportions read traditional and steady, and the numerals are lining with strong vertical stress and clear foot serifs.

Well suited to headlines, deck copy, and pull quotes where strong contrast and traditional serif cues are desirable. It can also serve for magazine and book-cover typography or formal branding when a confident, classic tone is needed.

The overall tone is traditional and declarative, with an editorial seriousness suited to emphatic messaging. Its high-contrast sparkle and weighty stems project authority and refinement rather than casual friendliness.

The design appears intended as a conventional, high-impact serif that modernizes classic book types with stronger weight and heightened contrast for attention in editorial and promotional settings.

At display sizes the contrast and tapered details become especially prominent, creating a dramatic texture; in smaller settings the density and hairlines can make the page color feel dark and emphatic. The lowercase shows classic, bookish forms (including a two-storey “a”) that reinforce a conventional, heritage-driven voice.
