This typeface is a compact serif with sturdy verticals and visibly flared, wedge-like terminals that broaden into the serifs. Contrast is moderate, with thicker main strokes and slimmer joins and cross-strokes, giving letters a carved, slightly calligraphic feel without becoming delicate. Apertures and counters run on the tight side, and curves are full and weighty, contributing to a dense overall texture. The lowercase shows a traditional two-storey a and g, a hooked f, and a distinctive t with a pronounced curved foot, while numerals are similarly solid and compact with strong presence.

It performs best in display and short-text settings where its dense texture and flared terminals can be appreciated—headlines, pull quotes, book or magazine titling, posters, and packaging labels. With generous leading and careful tracking, it can also work for introductory text blocks or branded editorial layouts.

The tone reads classic and print-forward, with a traditional, slightly old-world seriousness. Its flared endings add a crafted, engraved character that feels authoritative and a bit theatrical, making it well suited to historically inflected or editorial voices rather than minimalist branding.

The design appears intended to merge traditional serif structure with emphatic, flared stroke endings to create a strong, vintage-leaning voice. Its compact proportions and sturdy weight suggest an aim toward impactful readability in print-like contexts, emphasizing personality and presence over neutrality.

At text sizes the heavy, compact forms create a dark, continuous color, and the tight interior spaces can make spacing and line height important for comfort. The most recognizable personality comes from the exaggerated flares and hooked terminals, which give headings a distinctive rhythm and silhouette.
