A high-contrast serif with smooth, tapered stems that broaden into subtly flared, bracketed serifs and terminals. Curves are generous and round, with clean joins and a calm, even rhythm across text. Uppercase forms feel stately and open (notably the wide bowls and circular O), while the lowercase shows a traditional structure with a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and sturdy verticals on h/n. Numerals are old-style in character, with pronounced contrast and softly modeled strokes that keep the set cohesive in continuous reading.

Well-suited to editorial design and long-form reading where contrast and refined serif detailing add character. It can also support premium branding, cultural institutions, and formal print pieces such as invitations or programs, especially when set at text-to-display sizes that let the flared terminals and modulation read clearly.

The overall tone is cultured and confident, balancing classical bookishness with a polished, contemporary finish. It reads as formal without feeling brittle, giving pages a sense of authority and quiet sophistication.

The design appears intended to deliver a classic serif reading experience with added warmth and individuality through flared stroke endings and careful contrast control. It aims to feel traditional and authoritative while remaining crisp and current in contemporary layouts.

Details like the curved tail on Q, the sharp, sculpted diagonals on V/W, and the slightly swelling stroke endings reinforce a flared, engraved-like impression. The italics are not shown, and the roman maintains a consistent upright posture and measured spacing in the sample text.
