A high-contrast serif with sculpted, flared stroke endings and wedge-like, bracketed serifs. Curves are full and rounded, while joins and terminals show a subtle calligraphic logic—thicks swell smoothly and taper into sharp, crisp edges. The overall rhythm is lively: counters are generous, sidebearings feel comfortable, and proportions vary noticeably between letters, giving the face an organic, set-by-hand feel. Numerals and capitals carry strong vertical stress and pronounced thick–thin transitions, producing a dark, authoritative texture in text.

Best suited to headlines, pull quotes, magazine and newspaper-style editorial typography, book covers, and brand marks that need a refined but forceful presence. It can also work for short passages in print-oriented layouts where a strong typographic voice is desired, especially at larger sizes.

The font conveys a classic, editorial tone with a sense of ceremony and confidence. Its sharp terminals and swelling stems add drama without becoming ornate, reading as serious, traditional, and slightly theatrical—well suited to statements that want gravitas.

The design appears intended to blend traditional serif authority with a more carved, calligraphic energy, using flared terminals and pronounced contrast to create impact. It aims for a distinctive, premium texture that stands out in display and editorial contexts while retaining familiar serif structure.

In the sample text, the heavy color and contrast create strong word shapes, with particularly expressive curves in letters like S, Q, g, and y. The flared finishing of strokes helps keep forms crisp at larger sizes, while the dense texture suggests careful line spacing for extended setting.
