This is a high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced slant, crisp hairlines, and tapered entry/exit strokes that give the forms a gently calligraphic flow. Serifs are bracketed and sharp, with smooth transitions into the stems, and curves show diagonal stress typical of formal italics. Proportions feel classically balanced with a moderate x-height, long ascenders and descenders, and relatively narrow lowercase forms that emphasize verticality. The overall color on the page is bright and refined, with clear thick–thin modulation and clean counters that stay open in text.

It performs best where an elegant italic voice is needed: magazine and journal typography, book interiors for emphasis, forewords, and quotations, and refined titling or subheads. The strong contrast and lively rhythm make it especially effective for pull quotes and short-to-medium passages where nuance and sophistication are desired.

The tone is polished and literary, projecting sophistication and a sense of tradition. Its energetic italic movement adds expressiveness without becoming informal, making it feel poised, cultivated, and distinctly editorial.

The design appears intended as a conventional text italic that brings classic, high-contrast refinement to continuous reading while offering enough flourish for display accents. Its controlled modulation and traditional proportions suggest a focus on graceful emphasis and editorial polish.

Uppercase italics show sculpted, sweeping silhouettes, while the lowercase maintains a consistent forward momentum with pronounced terminals and elegant joins. Numerals follow the same contrast and slant, reading as formal and text-oriented rather than purely utilitarian.
