A condensed serif with tall, narrow proportions and an even, steady stroke. Serifs are fine and bracketed, giving joins a smooth, traditional finish rather than sharp slab-like terminals. Curves (notably in C, O, and S) stay controlled and slightly pinched, while verticals dominate the overall rhythm; counters are compact and apertures tend to be tight. The lowercase shows long ascenders/descenders and small, neat details like a compact ear on g and restrained terminals on c and e, maintaining consistent texture across lines.

Well suited to space-conscious text environments such as books, editorial layouts, and newspaper-style columns where a narrow measure is beneficial. It can also work effectively for captions, sidebars, and informational typography that needs a traditional serif voice while conserving horizontal space.

The overall tone is literary and editorial, with a reserved, classical presence that feels suited to print traditions. Its condensed stance and disciplined detailing lend it a serious, somewhat authoritative voice without becoming ornamental. The result reads as refined and pragmatic—more about economy and clarity than display drama.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, readable serif texture in a compact width, emphasizing vertical rhythm and restrained detailing. It prioritizes efficient line fitting and a familiar print sensibility, aiming for dependable readability and a composed, editorial character.

In the text sample, the narrow letterforms create a dense, column-friendly color, especially in mixed-case settings. Numerals follow the same condensed logic with simple, readable shapes and modest modulation, keeping them visually aligned with the text. The punctuation and dotted forms appear small and understated, supporting a clean, text-forward presentation.
