A high-contrast italic serif with a pronounced calligraphic rhythm. Stems show clear thick–thin modulation with tapered joins and sharp, well-defined bracketed serifs. The italic angle is assertive, with rounded forms kept relatively compact and counters tightened for a dense, ink-rich texture. Capitals are sturdy and slightly condensed in feel, while lowercase features energetic entry/exit strokes and a single-storey italic “a,” contributing to a continuous forward flow. Figures are lining and similarly slanted, with strong weight concentration in main strokes and thin, refined hairlines.

It performs especially well in headlines, subheads, pull quotes, and other editorial applications where an italic voice is used for emphasis. The dense color and strong contrast also make it effective for magazine covers, posters, and branded statements that need a classic but assertive tone.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, projecting authority and polish with a touch of drama. Its bold, slanted posture reads as emphatic and persuasive—well suited to expressive typography that still feels rooted in classic book and newspaper conventions.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif italic with elevated contrast and a robust weight, offering emphatic emphasis without leaving a conventional typographic register. It aims to balance readability with a dramatic, polished presence suitable for editorial hierarchy and display-led communication.

The typeface maintains consistent contrast and serif treatment across uppercase, lowercase, and numerals, producing a cohesive dark color at text sizes. Curves are smooth and slightly tensioned, and the sharp terminals and hairlines add a crisp, engraved-like finish in display settings.
