A flared serif with moderate stroke modulation and a clean, upright stance. Stems subtly broaden into the terminals, producing bracketed, wedge-like serifs that read sharper than a slab yet fuller than a hairline finish. Counters are open and generally oval, with smooth curves on C, G, O, and Q, and a steady baseline rhythm. The lowercase shows a two-storey a and g, a compact ear on g, and a crisp, compact t with a short crossbar; numerals are oldstyle-like in feel with varied silhouettes and pronounced curves, supporting a traditional text color.

This design is well suited to editorial typography—magazine features, book interiors, and long-form reading—where its open counters and steady rhythm maintain clarity. It also performs convincingly for display applications such as section heads, pull quotes, and refined branding that benefits from traditional serif authority.

The overall tone is classic and bookish, with a measured formality that feels suited to established institutions and editorial settings. The flared terminals add a subtle calligraphic warmth, keeping the texture lively without becoming decorative.

The letterforms suggest an intention to blend classical serif structure with subtly flared terminals to create a traditional yet distinctive text face. It aims for a polished, familiar reading experience while adding character through shaped endings and controlled contrast.

Capitals are dignified and spacious, with clear internal structure and confident serifs that help guide horizontal flow in headlines. The sample text shows an even, readable grayscale at larger sizes, where the flaring and moderate contrast become a defining personality cue rather than a distraction.
