A right-leaning slab serif with sturdy, squared serifs and a gently modulated stroke. The letterforms show a calligraphic influence in the way curves thicken and taper, but the overall build stays firm and architectural thanks to the pronounced slabs. Counters are moderately open and the italics have an energetic, slightly varied rhythm across forms, with rounded joins and occasional ball-like terminals that soften the otherwise robust structure. Numerals follow the same italicized, serifed logic, maintaining a consistent texture in running text.

Well suited to editorial typography where italic is used prominently—magazine features, book typography, introductions, and pull quotes. It can also work for compact headlines and subheads that benefit from a classic voice with stronger-than-average serif presence.

The tone reads literary and editorial: traditional, confident, and slightly dramatic. Its italic slant and strong serifs give it a persuasive voice suited to emphasis, while the smooth curvature keeps it approachable rather than severe.

The design appears intended to provide an italic companion with real emphasis and personality—combining sturdy slab serif anchoring with a smooth, calligraphic flow for readable, expressive setting.

In text settings it produces a dark, cohesive color with clear word shapes, making it especially effective for emphasized passages and short blocks. The combination of strong slab feet and fluent curves creates a distinctive mix of solidity and motion.
