A high-contrast serif with sharply tapered hairlines and weighty, rounded main strokes. Serifs are bracketed and often end in pointed, beak-like terminals, giving the outlines a sculpted, slightly calligraphic feel. The design is generously proportioned with wide capitals and ample internal counters; curves are smooth and full, while joins and terminals stay crisp. Lowercase forms maintain an even, readable rhythm, with a single-storey “g” featuring a prominent ear and a serifed “t” with a clean, compact crossbar; numerals follow the same contrast and terminal logic with elegant, flared finishing strokes.

Well suited to headlines, magazine display typography, pull quotes, and book-cover titling where elegance and contrast are desirable. It can also serve for premium branding and packaging, particularly when set with generous size and leading to showcase its fine hairlines and sculpted terminals.

The overall tone is traditional and authoritative, with a theatrical edge created by the strong thick–thin contrast and sharp terminals. It evokes bookish sophistication and classic print culture, but reads more showy than utilitarian, lending text a polished, declarative presence.

The design appears intended to modernize a conventional text-serif foundation with heightened contrast, widened proportions, and distinctive pointed terminals. The result prioritizes elegance and impact while retaining familiar letterforms for clear reading in display-led editorial use.

In setting, the wide proportions and pronounced contrast create a bold texture and strong word shapes, especially in caps. Spacing appears comfortable and open, helping the dense black strokes avoid clogging, though the delicate hairlines and sharp details will be most at home at moderate-to-large sizes.
