This is a high-contrast serif italic with crisp hairlines, stronger diagonal stress, and sharply tapered wedge-like serifs. Capitals are narrow and sculpted, with pointed terminals and a slightly calligraphic stroke flow that keeps the shapes lively without becoming decorative. Lowercase forms show a traditional text-italic rhythm: compact counters, angled joins, and expressive entry/exit strokes, with a single-storey “a” and “g” and a right-leaning, forward-moving cadence. Numerals follow the same engraved, tapered logic, mixing sturdy verticals with thin connecting strokes and subtly flared ends.

Well-suited to book and long-form editorial settings where an italic is needed for emphasis, quotations, or section-level hierarchy. It also works effectively in magazine layouts and refined headlines, especially where a classic serif voice and a crisp, high-contrast texture are desired.

The overall tone is classic and literary, with a refined, editorial feel reminiscent of book typography and traditional publishing. Its energetic italic motion adds elegance and emphasis, conveying a cultured, formal voice rather than a casual or utilitarian one.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif italic with a slightly calligraphic edge, balancing traditional proportions with sharp, tapered detailing. It aims to provide an elegant emphasis style that maintains a consistent, readable texture while adding forward motion and sophistication.

Spacing appears moderately open for an italic, helping the sharp serifs and thin hairlines read cleanly in text. The italic angle is noticeable but controlled, and the contrast remains consistent across caps, lowercase, and figures, giving a cohesive, polished texture in paragraphs.
