A tightly condensed, vertical display face built from chunky forms that are carved open with slender interior channels. Strokes read as solid slabs at a distance, while the inner cut-outs create an inline/hollow effect that introduces strong rhythm and texture across words. Geometry is largely straight and monolinear in its outer silhouette, with occasional rounded bowls; terminals are blunt and squared, and counters are reduced to narrow apertures. The lowercase mirrors the same tall, compressed proportions, with compact bowls and narrow joins that keep spacing tight and graphic.
Best suited for short, high-impact settings such as posters, headlines, title cards, logos, packaging marks, and bold signage. It can also work for labels or display UI moments where a compact, vertical footprint is helpful, but it’s less ideal for long passages where the cut-outs may visually crowd at smaller sizes.
The cut-out construction and dense proportions give it a utilitarian, industrial tone with a touch of noir drama. It feels assertive and mechanical, like labeling, stenciling, or bold wayfinding, while the internal openings add a crafted, engineered character.
The design appears intended to deliver maximum presence in minimal horizontal space, using carved interior openings to create a hollowed, engineered look without sacrificing overall mass. It prioritizes bold, graphic texture and quick recognition for display typography.
Because the inner voids are extremely thin, the design produces a distinctive striped texture in longer strings, especially in mixed case. Numerals follow the same carved-in approach, reading best when given enough size or contrast so the interior channels remain visible.
