A sturdy, high-contrast serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and strongly bracketed serifs. The letterforms are broadly proportioned with a compact, weighty color, featuring generous bowls and crisp, sheared terminals. Lowercase shows conventional text-serifs with a two-storey a and g, a sturdy vertical stress, and ball-like terminals on characters such as f. Numerals are old-style in feel in their construction, with substantial curves and clear differentiation at small sizes, matching the overall dense rhythm of the text.

Well-suited to editorial layouts, book typography, and other long-form reading where a classic serif voice is desired. The strong weight and contrast also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and formal applications such as academic or legal materials where a traditional, authoritative tone is appropriate.

The tone is traditional and confident, evoking printed book typography and institutional communication. Its heavy presence and crisp finishing give it an editorial seriousness that feels dependable and formal rather than decorative.

The design appears intended to deliver a conventional, print-rooted serif with a firm typographic color and clear readability, balancing crisp high-contrast detailing with bracketed serifs for a stable, familiar texture across sizes.

In continuous text the font produces a dark, even typographic color with clear word shapes, helped by open counters and decisive serifs. The joins and brackets soften the impact of the high contrast, keeping the texture readable while maintaining a dignified, print-like character.
