A delicate serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and finely tapered terminals. Serifs are bracketed and relatively sharp, with a clear axis in the round letters and smooth, controlled curves. Proportions feel traditional and balanced, with open counters and moderate apertures that keep text from looking cramped. Uppercase forms are stately and slightly narrow in feel, while lowercase shows a clear two‑storey a and g, compact bowls, and a gently curved, responsive rhythm across words. Numerals follow the same bookish tone, combining sturdy verticals with elegant curves and small finishing serifs.

Well suited to long-form reading in books and literary layouts, and to editorial typography where a classical voice is desired. It also performs convincingly for headings, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from a traditional serif texture and elegant contrast.

The overall tone is classic and cultivated, suggesting book typography and traditional publishing. Its high-contrast, carefully finished details convey refinement and formality without becoming decorative, giving text a confident, composed presence.

The design appears intended as a conventional text serif with a refined, high-contrast build—aiming for a timeless, print-oriented feel and a steady reading rhythm. It prioritizes classical letterform conventions and polished detailing to deliver an authoritative, literary voice.

At display sizes the hairlines and serif details read crisp and precise, while in paragraph setting the consistent modulation and open interiors help maintain an even, readable texture. The italics are not shown, and the upright roman carries most of the personality through contrast, bracketing, and traditional proportions.
