A high-contrast italic serif with sharply tapered hairlines and strong, slightly wedge-like bracketed serifs. The forms lean decisively, with a calligraphic stress and crisp entry/exit strokes that create a lively diagonal rhythm. Capitals are narrow and sculpted with pronounced thick–thin transitions, while the lowercase keeps a moderate x-height and long, flowing extenders. Numerals and letters show noticeable optical variation in width and counters, giving the set an animated, editorial texture rather than a strictly uniform, mechanical fit.

Well-suited to editorial design, literary layouts, and magazine typography where an elegant italic voice is needed. It works especially well for headlines, pull quotes, standfirsts, and other display text, and can also support refined short-form settings such as invitations or formal announcements when set with comfortable spacing.

The overall tone is refined and traditional, projecting a cultured, bookish elegance. Its energetic slant and razor-thin hairlines add a sense of drama and sophistication suited to classic, upscale typography.

The design appears intended to provide a classic, high-contrast italic companion for conventional serif typography, emphasizing grace, motion, and typographic sophistication in reading and editorial contexts.

The italic construction is emphatic, with many letters showing subtly swashed curves and hooked terminals that enhance movement. High contrast and delicate joins suggest the design will read best when given sufficient size and breathing room, where the fine details can remain clear.
