A slanted, calligraphic blackletter with sharp, angular terminals and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes taper to pointed wedges and flicked endings, with occasional hooked entry strokes that mimic a broad-pen gesture. Capitals are more ornate and irregular in silhouette, while the lowercase keeps a compact, narrow rhythm with a notably short x-height and lively, uneven widths from letter to letter. Counters tend to be small and dark, producing a dense, textured “inked” color, and numerals follow the same angled, hand-cut feeling with crisp curves and tapered tips.

Best suited to display typography such as titles, chapter heads, posters, invitations, and period-themed branding where a dense, historic texture is desirable. It works especially well for short phrases and initial caps, and is less suited to long passages at small sizes due to its compact counters and high contrast.

The overall tone is historic and ceremonial, evoking medieval manuscripts, heraldic inscriptions, and gothic storytelling. Its brisk italic slant and knife-like terminals add drama and urgency, while the ornamental capitals lend a formal, title-like presence.

The design appears intended to capture a broad-pen, hand-written blackletter flavor with energetic italic movement and decorative capitals, prioritizing atmosphere and period character over neutral readability. It aims to provide a strong gothic voice for prominent text and ornamental emphasis.

Spacing and proportions feel intentionally organic rather than mechanically uniform, reinforcing a hand-rendered impression. The most convincing results come from larger sizes where the pointed terminals, internal notches, and stroke contrast remain clear without filling in.
