This serif design features crisp, high-contrast strokes with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sharp, wedge-like terminals. Serifs are finely bracketed and often flare subtly as stems meet the baseline and cap line, giving the letters a sculpted, ink-on-paper feel. Round forms (C, O, Q) are smoothly drawn with a slightly vertical stress, while diagonals (V, W, X, Y) stay taut and clean. Lowercase forms show traditional proportions with a moderate x-height, narrow apertures in letters like e and c, and compact joins that maintain a steady, bookish rhythm.

It works well for editorial typography such as magazines, journals, and book work where a traditional serif voice is desired. The strong contrast and sharpened terminals also make it effective for headlines, pull quotes, and refined branding applications that benefit from a polished, classical presence.

The overall tone is poised and authoritative, reading as classic and editorial rather than decorative. Its sharp terminals and clear contrast add a touch of sophistication that feels suited to literary and institutional contexts.

The design appears intended to deliver a contemporary take on a traditional high-contrast serif: elegant and readable, with flared terminal shaping to add character without losing typographic restraint. It aims for a dignified, print-oriented texture that performs confidently in both larger text settings and display use.

The numerals follow the same contrast and terminal treatment, with elegant curves in 2, 3, 5, and 9 and a restrained, typographic 1. At display sizes the crisp wedges and bracketing become a defining texture, producing a lively dark–light pattern across lines of text.
