A sturdy serif with pronounced flared terminals and wedge-like serifs that broaden out from the stems, giving an incised, carved impression. The stroke structure is mostly even, with crisp joins and a compact, tightly set rhythm that reads dense and punchy. Capitals are broad-shouldered and emphatic, while the lowercase maintains a conventional, workmanlike construction with clear bowls and short, controlled extenders. Numerals are heavy and stable, featuring strong verticals and sharp, triangular finishing strokes that reinforce the chiseled texture.

Well suited to headlines, deck copy, and short-to-medium editorial settings where a strong, traditional serif voice is desired. It can also support book covers, identity work, and posters that benefit from a carved, authoritative texture and firm typographic presence.

The overall tone is traditional and assertive, with a bookish, institutional feel. Its sculpted terminals add a touch of gravitas and old-world craftsmanship, making the voice feel serious, reliable, and slightly ceremonial.

The design appears intended to deliver a robust, traditional reading and display serif with an incised/flared finishing language. Its goal is to combine strong impact with a familiar, classical structure that remains composed in both uppercase statements and mixed-case text.

The dark color and tightly packed counters create a strong page presence, especially in continuous text. The flaring at stroke ends produces a distinctive sparkle at larger sizes while maintaining a disciplined, no-nonsense silhouette.
