A calligraphic display face with tall, narrow proportions and pronounced thick–thin modulation. Strokes end in sharp, wedge-like serifs and fine hairline tails that often hook or flick outward, giving many letters a slightly spurred, thorny silhouette. Curves are tight and vertical stress is apparent, while joins and terminals show a drawn-pen character with occasional needle-like descenders and tapered entry strokes. Lowercase forms stay compact with small counters and a restrained, text-like structure, while capitals are more ornamental and angular, creating a strong hierarchy in mixed setting.

Best suited for display typography where its sharp terminals and high-contrast rhythm can be appreciated—book covers, film or event posters, album art, and expressive branding. It can also work for short passages such as pull quotes, chapter titles, invitations, or themed packaging, especially when a dramatic, gothic-leaning voice is desired.

The overall tone is darkly elegant and slightly menacing, balancing formal calligraphy with a gothic, storybook edge. The spiky terminals and inky contrasts lend a sense of drama and ritual, making the face feel suited to suspense, fantasy, or historical atmospheres rather than neutral communication.

The design appears intended to evoke formal pen lettering with a stylized, gothic twist: conventional letter skeletons are embellished with tapered flicks, hooked serifs, and hairline spurs to create a distinctive, atmospheric texture. The contrast and verticality aim to produce strong impact in larger sizes while keeping enough structure for coherent mixed-case settings.

In running text the texture is lively and irregular in detail despite consistent construction, with occasional long hairline protrusions that can create sparkle and tension along baselines and cap lines. The numerals and capitals read as the most characterful elements, while the lowercase provides a steadier rhythm that helps longer phrases remain legible at display sizes.
