This serif typeface shows pronounced thick–thin contrast with crisp, sculpted terminals and wedge-like serifs that flare out from the stems. Curves are smooth and taut, with a disciplined, vertical axis and slightly tapered joins that keep counters open despite the contrast. Capitals feel stately and compact, while the lowercase maintains a steady rhythm with a moderate x-height, pointed details, and refined stroke modulation. Numerals follow the same high-contrast logic, with elegant curves and sharply finished ends that read well at display sizes.

It performs best in headlines, titling, and editorial settings where contrast and sharp serifs can be appreciated—magazine covers, section openers, book titles, and cultured poster work. Short passages and pull quotes can also work well when set large enough to preserve the hairlines.

The overall tone is traditional and editorial, with a sense of ceremony and sophistication. Its sharp finishing and high contrast add drama, giving text an authoritative, slightly theatrical presence suited to classic, literary styling.

The design appears intended to deliver a refined, classic serif voice with flared stroke endings and strong contrast, balancing tradition with a crisp, modern finish. Its proportions and rhythmic modulation suggest an emphasis on elegant display typography that can still function in text when handled with appropriate size and spacing.

Serif shapes often resolve into triangular wedges at ends and apexes, creating a chiseled silhouette and strong horizontal accents. In longer text, the dark strokes and bright hairlines produce a lively texture that benefits from comfortable sizes and good spacing.
