A right-leaning slab serif with sturdy, bracketed serifs and a gently calligraphic construction. Strokes stay fairly even, with modest modulation and softened joins that keep the texture smooth in text. Capitals are broad and stable with pronounced slabs, while lowercase forms show energetic, slightly irregular rhythms—especially in the beaked or hooked terminals and the single-storey a and g. The numerals read as oldstyle figures, giving the set a more literary, page-oriented color than a modern lining figure scheme.

Well-suited to editorial typography such as books, magazines, and long-form articles where an italic with strong serifs can carry emphasis without losing presence. It can also serve refined identity work—publishing imprints, cultural institutions, and invitations—where a traditional, text-forward voice is desirable.

The overall tone is classic and editorial, blending a traditional book-seriffed voice with a hint of motion from the italic slant. It feels established and trustworthy rather than trendy, with a slightly quaint, literary character suited to longer reading or cultivated branding.

The design appears intended to provide an italic slab serif that retains the solidity and clarity of a regular slab while introducing a more human, text-centric rhythm. The combination of robust serifs, restrained contrast, and oldstyle numerals suggests a focus on comfortable, literary composition and classic typographic emphasis.

Serifs are consistently firm and supportive, and the italic structure maintains clear counters and open apertures for a comfortable reading rhythm. Curves are rounded rather than sharp, and the spacing appears tuned for paragraph setting, producing a cohesive, moderately dark text color.
