A display-leaning serif with pronounced thick–thin modulation and sculpted, flared serifs that feel more wedged than slabby. Letterforms are wide-set with generous internal counters, and many joins resolve into sharp wedges or notched transitions that create a cut-in, chiseled look. Terminals often finish in rounded or ball-like forms (notably in lowercase), balancing the crisp interior angles with softer endpoints. The overall rhythm is sturdy and blocky in silhouette, with high contrast and ample white space that keeps the heavy strokes from clogging at large sizes.

Best suited to headlines, magazine mastheads, posters, and packaging where strong contrast and bold silhouettes can work at larger sizes. It can also serve for book covers or section openers when you want a classic serif voice with extra drama and distinctive detailing.

The tone is assertive and editorial, mixing classical serif formality with a slightly playful, theatrical edge from the notched details and round terminals. It reads as confident and attention-grabbing—more headline than body—while still retaining a traditional, bookish underpinning.

The design appears intended to deliver a traditional serif foundation amplified for display impact—using exaggerated contrast, flared serifs, and carved-in joins to create a distinctive, memorable texture in short text. It aims to feel familiar and authoritative while adding a crafted, stylized edge for contemporary editorial and branding use.

Capitals feel especially monumental and poster-ready, with strong vertical emphasis and crisp inside cuts that add sparkle. Numerals follow the same carved, high-contrast logic, giving figures a vintage, display-friendly presence.
